The Chesterfield Mayfair proved to be a good choice for a couple of nights in London. Situated on a quiet street, the peaceful location provide s relaxing stay away from the crowds.The nearest tube is Green Park, although we walked to Shaftesbury Avenue for a show, which took 25 minutes. Nearer, within five minutes walk, is Hyde Park. The hotel provides a jogging map for Hyde Park and Green Park. This was very useful for an afternoon walking in London’s welcome green space.
We had a superior king room which was fairly small, with a very good bathroom. The heating was adjustable, the window could be opened and the bed very comfortable.
Evening meal was very good, although the staff were a little over attentive. Breakfast is served until 11am at weekends with a good, varied selection to choose from.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
