Reasons for trip

I stayed in a beautiful hotel Grand Hotel San Michele just outside Cetraro in Calabria. The hotel has 44 hectares and provides its restaurant with all its organic fruit and veg. The ambiance of the hotel is so relaxing and one is treated like family. You can spend your days in pure relaxing by the pool or wandering around the grounds.

The hotel has its own golf course. It is in a great position high on a cliff for birdwatching. It also has its own private beach with stunning views and a bar reached by private lift.

The area is as yet mostly undiscovered by tourists and is an absolute delight. The owners and staff are charming and nothing is too much trouble.
