I can recommend Casa Pauline unreservedly. I was very anxious prior to my arrival as I was staying on my own to be near to my daughter and family who were renting a villa nearby. I need not have worried as the accommodation was perfect in every way. It had everything that I needed. I had a comfortable studio apartment with a kitchenette, TV, safety deposit box, double bed, air conditioning, shower room and a bougainvillea bordered balcony with sea views – set amidst attractive and peaceful gardens.
Breakfast was available at a small extra cost but I preferred to make my own porridge which I ate in my room or on the balcony.
The Dutch hosts are helpful and charming and made me feel very welcome. I have to say that I felt somewhat apprehensive initially as I was the only non Spanish person staying in the accommodation and my knowledge of the language is sketchy, to say the least. However the owners speak perfect English, as Dutch people so often do, so again, my anxieties were unfounded.
Apparently the accommodation is open all year round, so I am already planning my next visit – and perhaps I will take my husband next time!!
