Had a very tasty haddock, chips and mushy peas for £10.00 here – which would have come with tea/coffee and bread’n’butter if I hadn’t made the mistake of asking for a glass of the house wine (it being 6.30 p.m. after all) – they only have their house wine, and it’s foul, so stick to the ‘old folks’ tea/coffee and bread’n’butter.
The food was good and, unusually, the restaurant and adjacent chippie closes at 7pm – presumably due to the number of eateries along this road that people perhaps consider more ‘up market’ for an evening meal.
Noted the pudding menu was priced at £2.00 or £3.00 per item, so all very reasonably priced for a lunch or (very) early evening meal.
