Cannon Hall Farm is a great day out for families and will keep the grandchildren amused for hours. It’s about £30 entry for a family of four which can seem a little pricey at first but having visited several times now I feel it’s good value for money. There are several large outdoor play areas with climbing frames, slides and zip wires. In another area there are huge tubes for the children to clamber through. Every hour or so you can see ferret racing and sheep racing and if you have a winning ticket for a race you can win a family pass.
There are lots of farm animals to see and a tractor and trailer ride. My granddaughters love the soft play area which is great for cold or wet days. We like to sit upstairs on the comfy sofas and have a coffee while the girls tire themselves out. We usually buy lunch here too but there are areas to sit where you can bring your own picnic.
If you are more of a culture vulture you can visit Cannon Hall Museum which has free entry.
