We have just returned home from a lovely holiday in North Wales. We stayed in Caernarfon at the Coed Helen Holiday Park, which was a great location to stay. The Holiday Park overlooks the Menai Strait and we saw some wonderful sunsets. Caernarfon is a nice town with an excellent castle, which is well worth exploring. We also visited Harlech and Criccieth castles also well worth a visit. We spent several hours visiting Portmeirion, which is an amazing village, Italianate style, built by Clough Williams-Ellis – don’t miss it if you are in the vicinity! Another great day was spent at Conwy – lovely town – castle, Plas Mawr (a wonderful Elizabethan townhouse), Britain’s smallest house, the Menai bridge, St Mary’s Church. Another great day spent on Anglesey!!
There are so many things to do and places to visit in North Wales and the scenery is stunning! I would highly recommend a holiday this area!
