Burswood B&B delights on every count. Lovely rooms with extras such as a fridge containing complimentary fresh milk and Buxton water, robes to wear after a power shower, comfortable beds and a modern flatscreen TV. There's parking space and the conservatory where breakfast is served overlooks a beautiful garden. Mine host, George, is friendly and helpful and prepares superb breakfasts. Unlimited fresh coffee and tea, generous cooked breakfasts and bowls of fresh fruit e.g. raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, mango etc. Burswood is on the Tadcaster Road just over a mile from York city walls, with buses past the door every 10 minutes so there's no need to use your car to get into York. If you're pensioners like us, then remember your Bus Pass! The Fox and Roman pub is a few doors away serving delicious food at reasonable prices. We'll certainly go there again as it's the best B&B we've stayed in.
