The Sculpture Garden provides an exciting setting for a number of dramatic artworks by contemporary sculptors. There are over twenty works and more have been commissioned. They have been made from metal or natural materials and positioned around the garden to complement the landscape.
They vary in style from abstract spiral designs to a surreal face mask. There are metal rhinos and dancing rabbit figures, guaranteed to delight the young. There is a wooden’ caterpillar, model of a World War Two fighter plane and even a vessel from Star Wars. I’m not a great one for modern sculptures, but found these great fun. There really is something to appeal to everyone
Entry to the garden is included in the house and garden ticket. A map is available showing the location of the sculptures. Allow plenty of time to explore and chose a dry day as there is no shelter!
