I found this hotel on the internet and was impressed by the reviews so decided tto try it during a recent trip to Sri Lanka. We are very glad we did. From the moment we arrived Nick Buckingham and his wonderful friendly staff made it clear that there was only one objective for them and that was to ensure that we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The large suites at the hotel are superb. and set in small clusters through a beautiful garden. Most have lovely views onto the lagoon. Five minutes pleasant walk takes you to a superb and largely deserted beach. The hotel restaurant serves lovely food and , as Nick says, if you order something and it is not to your taste (never happened to us!) just say and we'll happily change it for something else. The gardens, the pool, the sound of the surf, and the attentions of the team all make for a wonderful stay. As our fellow guests (many of them repeat visitors) all seemed to agree, this is a truly special place.
