We stopped in here for a quick lunch on Christmas Eve while out doing some last minute shopping. This is a deli and café in a strip mall in Sarnia, Ontario. The deli was busy with people picking up fresh baked bread and rolls, meats and cheeses, not to mention pastries, for their Christmas festivities. Usually there is a buffet to choose from on the café side of the establishment but it was closed as there was a private party set up in the café – they had not arrived yet. However, there were a couple of spare tables covered in pick-up or delivery bread orders. The helpful staff cleared the tables and told us to order sandwiches at the deli and they’d bring them over. We both chose fresh Calabrese buns with porchetta and Havarti cheese. My aunt chose to add onions and mustard to hers. They were delicious! Coffee and a cream bun rounded out her order while I had a bottle of pink grapefruit juice (as they had no decaffeinated coffee) and a small cannoli. We will definitely be back to try out the buffet. Despite being very busy in the deli, the staff checked with us a couple of times to make sure everything was fine with our order.
