Knowing this was run by the same people who run the cafe at the Sound, I was expecting the cakes to be good. I wasn’t disappointed. There was an excellent selection and choosing was difficult! Banoffee, Marshmallow cake, lemon drizzle, strawberry milkshake, Choc mint cake, scones… In the end I decided on the Chocolate and Guinness cake which was delicious. It was a large slice of dark cake with plenty of flavour, moist and not too sweet. The thick layer of buttercream icing added just the right amount of sweetness. At £3,25 I thought this was good value.
This is a large cafe in Bradda Glen on the way up to “Bradda Head and Milner’s Tower. “:https://www.silvertraveladvisor.com/review/attraction/199489-review-bradda-head-and-milners-tower There is a large car park for those driving. The inside is a bit of a barn with not a lot of atmosphere. There is plenty of outside seating with views across the bay to the Cregneash Peninsula and the Sound. On a sunny day this is a lovely place to drop out.
