The Cape can have its not such good days weather-wise, but there's always somewhere to go.
It was a clouded early morning, but we headed off through Simonstown to The Boulders, the beach which the African Penguins have made home for some years.
You couldn't wish for a closer look at these birds, tame as anything and willing to be photographed within meters.
The boardwalk is quick and easy, but for something even more exciting the beach is well sheltered, and suitable for swimming. You'll be keeping company with the penguins there.
