I’ve been to Norfolk several times but I didn’t know Blickling existed, Thanks to some friends who live in Norfolk I had a lovely day out at this stunning place. The view of the house from the driveway is breathtaking, a wonderful example of Tudor architecture. The surrounding gardens are colourful and immaculately kept. This is the birthplace of Ann Boleyn which for me made it very interesting. The friendly and knowledgeable staff will be only too pleased to answer your questions. There is a large second hand book shop which is well worth a visit and a cafe for a snack or light meal(I can recommend the scones). I was very pleased to find the house has a lift, not usually found in a stately home, which is great as visitors with limited mobility have access to the upper rooms.
