We had booked into this hotel for one night as we visiting locally and needed a venue. When we drove up to the hotel I was a little anxious as it wasn't what I was expecting. It was in the middle of a housing area and it looked a little run down from the outside. However, we went into the small lobby area and the welcome was extremely warm. We had arrived very early (12 noon) and called o the off chance that we may be able to book in and leave our luggage until later in the day. However not only were we allowed to book in but they found a different room from the one we had been allocated and we were able to have the key and enjoy an hours rest before our day began. We were on the 4th floor which didn't have lift access as that only went to the third floor but we were asked if that was a problem at the desk. It wasn't to us and we were just grateful to be settled. We got the sense that the top floor had recently been constructed as guest rooms and they were beautifully fitted out with gorgeous bathroom fittings and decorations and furnishings in the bedroom. The bed was so comfortable I could have slept for a week! We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was superb. Beautifully presented and very tasty. Lots of choice and the staff were attentive. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed with the breakfast. Although the food was fine we were sat by a door which we were to discover was a conference room and people were arriving and then in and out getting coffees etc constantly which was a little intrusive. I wouldn't let this put you off booking this hotel as it really was a great stay and I'm sure they would have moved us if we had asked.
