We had a 2 night stay at The Glendower Hotel in St Annes (Best Western). Our room had a glorious seaview. £99 was the offer for 1 night with Cream Tea on arrival, an excellent 3 course dinner and the best breakfast I've had in a hotel. The smoked haddock was delicious and beautifully cooked. We bought the option to stay for an extra night at £49.
Our room was roomy with a double and a single bed. Normally I don't sleep well in a strange bed but the bed was so comfortable I slept like a log. We were high enough to see the sea over the little sand dunes.
This hotel is only 3 miles from Blackpool so an excellent choice for the last week of the illuminations. We parked in a southerly car park and used the trams. We didn't see any of the illuminated trams but we saw the illuminations for our first time ever.
