I have stayed at Bellagio several times, always for an for an annual conference for my job. The hotel is quite nice, but things were a bit shabby on my last stay. The lobby and public areas were up to par, but the hallways seemed to have taken a beating. I found the carpets a little dingy and they could have used a good stretching. Someone not sure footed could trip over some of the bumps. The walls were scarred, not sure if that’s due to guests or employees, but that is something that needs addressing for this caliber of hotel. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms are some of the largest I’ve experienced. The tubs are extremely comfortable for a bubble bath. I wish mine at home was as comfy! The beds are just right, as Goldilocks would say. Watch out for the very sensitive minibar. If anything gets jostled you might find a charge on your bill for something you did not consume. I recommend requesting or booking a room overlooking the fountains at least once. You can watch the water play to music from the luxury of your room. The pools are many, but even though it’s extremely hot, chaises and shade are at a premium. Renting a cabana is pricey, in my opinion. The front desk employees always seem a bit harassed in my opinion, but the rest of the staff that I encountered are friendly and courteous. I always enjoy coffee and pastries at Palio and their salads and sandwiches are also delicious.
