We started off with a glass of wine on the windy terrace (well, it was early spring) and the standard was set by the beautiful and very tasty crab tartlets which were a surprise appetiser brought to us to accompany the wine.
Inside, we sat by the alcove window which had long mirrors at each side so you could enjoy a good view of the beautiful cliffs behind you as well as the long beach for the rest of our lunch. Soon after ordering from the imaginative table d’hote menu we had a lovely, warm laver-bread bread as an amuse bouche followed by the decent sized hake starter, crisply fried and hot. And so we continued with the main and dessert, enjoying fabulous foods presented well and so very delicious too. When we ordered coffee as an extra item at the end to prolong our visit, it came with an extra surprise of petit-fours. Can’t wait to go again soon as we visit the Gower often.
