Just before lockdown my husband and two friends went for a weekend to Battlesteads it was great we enjoyed the observatory and had a lovely evening listening to information about our night skys. Having had 2 nights BB with evening meal and the food was fantastic, friendly staff and very helpful. We visited the fishing museum free and went to the seaside walking along the beach in Alnmouth lovely tea shop that had already started social distancing . Returning to the hotel for a quiet drink before dinner felt totally spoilt which we feel set us up for our isolation so thank you. Would recommend this hotel to everyone as there is so much to do in the surrounding area, walk part of the Hadrian Wall we did on two days as well as visiting Alnwick and surrounding areas.
