Reasons for trip

Just returned from a two-week break in Barbados and would thoroughly recommend for any Silver Traveller, though prices have risen since our last visit in 2018. We went with two friends, all over 65, and enjoyed both South Beach Hotel and Butterfly Beach Hotel during our stay. South Beach has more shops and bars nearby but Buttefly Beach is nearer the ‘world famous’ Ositins and is within easy walking distance. St Lawrence Gap is midway between the two. We travelled mostly by public transport, which is very convenient – with the standard price at $3.50 (Barbadian).
