My friend and I have stayed at the Bar Convent twice and we are returning in November for my 70th birthday.
The access is good for people who may have a disability, staff on reception are polite and friendly. The night porter is a joy and he will let you in after the doors are locked if you ring the bell.
Our room a twin with en-suite was really comfortable and spacious and pristine clean.
Breakfast is a delight, great choice from full English to continental, I would also recommend a light lunch with a bottle of wine in the garden.
Included in the Bar Convent is a charming church, museum and a shop.
The bar convent is also a hostel, there is a sitting room, kitchen and rooms with shared facilities.
All in all the bar convent is a little gem, shhhh don’t tell anybody because it’s always fully booked as it is.
