We were staying in the holiday cottage here so were able to really benefit from the visit to the lovely house and grounds.
On our first day there were various events such as a horse display and re-enactments. There is a vast park designed by Capability Brown with the River Cam running through and beautiful formal gardens which at the time of our visit were brimming with an amazing display of tulips. There is also a large and interesting kitchen garden and greenhouses.
The house itself is vast with friendly interpreters in most rooms. In fact all the staff were delightful .Where ever you were they greeted you as they passed.
The cafeteria is excellent with a good range of hot and cold food and delicious cakes.
