We return to Australia every couple of years to visit family and friends in Melbourne and Hobart. Atlantis on Spencer Street was a new hotel to us and only recently established. The location is brilliant as it is a 5 minute walk from the Skybus Terminal at Spencer Street Station, on a major tram line and in easy walking distance of the CBD, Theatre land and Melbourne Markets. The staff were friendly; the breakfast of fresh fruit, cereal and toast, eggs and tomatoes/ mushrooms was reasonably priced; and the bedroom was large, beautifully appointed, clean and again reasonably priced. There are no external windows, except on specific floors, but this suited us as we were not in the hotel to holiday but to use as a base for visits to family and friends and dining at the wonderful array of restaurants at an easy walking distance. A great find. we will be staying again in December 2014!
