Although I love to stay in hotels, I more frequently end up staying in self catering apartments because I am a vegetarian coeliac and struggle with food in catered accommodation.
This apartment is one street back from the main ‘front’, so it’s incredibly handy for walking to restaurants, the harbour, etc, but in a quiet part of Funchal, so there were no disturbances.
Next to the apartment block is a gorgeous park with shady seating for hot days.
The apartment is large with one bedroom, a living / dining/ kitchen area, and a bathroom.
It was very clean and the cleaners came in every day.
I would recommend this to any travellers looking for a central but quiet location. The staff were friendly and speak very good English.
I booked a package via teletext but the apartments do offer direct booking via email.
