Tennis at Wimbledon may seem a strange thing to review in December but the official ballot for tickets closes at end December. If you have never been to the courts go even if you only have a ticket to get into the grounds. My neice and I went on the Saturday for the womens finals, we only had tickets for court number one not centre court. The atmosphere is fantastic and Henmans Hill (or Murrays Mount) depending on your preference is crowded and fun. We wandered around all the courts before play and you are allowed to go to centre court and take photos. Wonder at the new roof that seems bigger than the court inself and see how close you are to the players. The doubles matches being played on number one court was exciting as was the junior matches. We watched Radel practising for his final the next day and seen him encouraging the younger players before their match. After the womens finals we stood near the players bridge and watched Martina, Pat Cash others waving to the crowd. The grounds themselves are impressive and it does feel an honour to wander about. Take a picnic food is expensive and don1t forget your camera.
