Allegedly five star, the Acqualina Hotel pumps itself up in its literature and gives the impression of being larger, grander and more diverse than it really is. It is not really five star, more four and a bit and you have to be comfortable with its location as it is quite a distance from the vibrant South Beach which is important as it does not have the range of facilities such as choice of restaurants. The food however, especially in the Italian restaurant, is very very good.
