A La Ronde is a national trust property located on the outskirts of Exmouth in a gorgeous countryside setting which overlooks the estuary.
The tearooms are positioned in a quaint room with low ceilings and buckets of character, and the most lovely views over open fields towards the sea. You also have the option to sit outside in the garden, which in the summer is a great option.
When we visit, we often opt for a Devon cream tea, which comes with huge homemade scones, lush jam, thick Devon clotted cream, and freshly brewed tea. Other choices include freshly made cakes and biscuits.
They also make homemade soup, and roll, and jacket potato with different fillings.
Sitting in this tearoom is like being in a time warp, and with a bit of imagination it could be fifty years ago.
I love visiting here, it’s relaxing, quiet, and a place to escape the stresses of life. A slice of heaven!
