I first started going to this park as part of the Park Run network. It is between Braintree and Chelmsford. It is mainly tracks and grass with some sand thrown in as there is a childrens play area sand pit – but you can go round the edges!
The park is spacious and well thought out. There is a lovely lake to walk or run round in my case. There is one steep hill which you can walk. The view from the top is great. The café is also spacious with big round tables and also some tables outside in the good weather. The coffee is not expensive but good and there are cakes and scones on offer too. There are ample toilet facilities too. You have to pay for the car park – but this is done on how long you have been at the park and you pay on the way out. The machine is just outside the café on he way back to the car so that is easy. No so good for disabled people what with the hill and there are steps back to the café.
