Flying to Martinique from the UK is complicated & you cannot fly direct. Flybe from Southampton does connect with Air France going to Martinique but there is a few hours wait.

Premium Economy only gives you a little more leg room for a lot more money! You get the same food & same films. It is certainly worth it on the overnight flight back but flying Premium Economy both ways makes it a very expensive trip!

I had a knee operation & the Titanium set off the bleeper every time, although I told the customs people in my best french!

Air France used to be rather smart but now it is like any other airline & in the Economy you are packed like sardines.

However Martinique is a wonderful tropical island with lovely beaches & a stunning Botanical garden called The Balata which suffered in the hurricane but has survived.

The Supermarkets are full of delicious goodies direct from France & the local ladies are very colourful.
