What an interesting country to travel to,I keep my fingers crossed
I have been to Morocco twice, once on a cruise ship. This was a good many years ago now, but the sight that stays in my memory for evermore was the El Haissan Mosque – breathtaking. Not sure if I have spelled it correctly! I am old now ……but have a great love of reading, especially about travel – anywhere……..

I really enjoyed my trip tp Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains. Riad we stayed was excellent and close to the main square where we were entertained by the goings on. The trip with a private driver tothe Atlas Mountains for lunch was very enjoyable, esp[ecially as my friend had to ride on a donkey to the restaurant. A country I would love to visit for longer holiday

Somewhere I have not been but would love to visit.
I’ve never been to Morocco, but it’s very high up my wish list, and I’ll probably do the One Traveller holiday there in 2024 or 2025. I’m particularly interested in the historic sights, such as Volubilis, and some of the mosques, but am also keen to do a 4×4 adventure in the Sahara Desert.

My very first holiday as an 18 year old was to Morocco, a mere 42 years ago! I wonder if it is as beautiful now as it was then.

Was just about to book Marrakesh this week but called for medical tests so couldn’t do that yet. Hopefully soon.
A country on the bucket list but as a solo traveller l have so far refrained, maybe this book is what I need to make that journey come true !
I’d love to see the intricate patterns of the tiles on buildings and all the colours in the souks.
Just as Lesley said above, this book may assist solo-travelling in Morocco. I was there a long, long time ago and would like to go again.

Would love to visit Morocco for a fifth time. Such a fascinating country. So much more to see. Would like to read about Marrakech too – only visited it on a day trip from Agadir way back in the early eighties.
Marrakech , I enjoyed a visit to an argan oil production run by a woman’s collective.
When I met my now husband, he replicated that famous saying from Casablanca – ‘Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine’ – and the rest they say is history.
On a day trip to Casablanca we went to Rick’s cafe to relive this moment but sadly it was closed for a private function so it is still on our list of things to do!!!
The range of things to see and do seems amazing, from the cities to the mountains to the gardens.
I took my children to Morocco when they were 5 and 10. We trekked across the Atlas mountains on the backs of mules, stayed in berber villages, browsed the souks, spent a day on the beach at Essaouira and had a truly amazing adventure. I hope it hasn’t changed too much! What a fabulous place!
I visited whilst on a School Cruise – 53 years ago! – so would love to go back to see what has changed!

A land of beautiful contrasts, from mountains deserts to the mighty ocean. The night sky from a hotel bed in the desert to the sounds of different medinas.., a magical place

Alice Morrison is a writer I admire. I loved her book “Walking with Nomads,” especially the tales told around the camp fire with her fellow travellers. A total escape from everyday concerns but also shows how the ancient world of the nomad is under threat as never before. “Adventures in Morocco” is on my wish list, as indeed is a long overdue visit to the country itself.
On a day trip to Agadir as part of a cruise, we had a tour by a local taxi driver. He took us to the market where camels’ legs were on display on the next stall to satellite dishes! Such a juxtaposition of wares for sale, I’ll never forget it. The colours and scents were fabulous.
I haven’t been – yet. Definitely has come on my radar in the last couple of years and will visit. Looks beautiful – am interested in the architecture and food.

I’ve never been to Morocco but would like to visit Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech which looks wonderful, and while in Marrakech I’d like to stay in a riad.

I would love to go back as the only time I have been was March 2020 when lock down happened and we had to leave.
I visited Morocco with my mom on a cruise some years ago, we were so excited especially mom as she hadn’t been anywhere so exotic, we enjoyed every moment of it. My mom passed 2 years ago now but I still have those special memories of us in the souks, and smells of the spices. A special time.

Always wanted to go. Then on a cruise a few years ago I was going so excited my visit all planned. Then at the last minute the port was cancelled due to high winds! So on my bucket list for the next few years. Love to explore the markets and experience the hustle and bustle.
My son visited Marrakesh on a school trip years ago and brought me back loads of herbs. They were unlike anything we could buy here. I would love to go over there to visit and get my own herbs!
