Despite the weather being cool/cold on 1st May(!), the gardens were still a joy. There were enough tulips to still make panoramic swathes of colour. The boat trip would have been more interesting if there 2 weeks ago. A lot of the tulips had been cut back in the fields. Who can rely on the weather? Last year everything was extremely late. You just have to go with the flow. There are enough exhibits indoors to keep you occupied as well. Despite the huge numbers there, evident by cars and coaches, did not feel hurried or crushed in any way. Food halls were also excellent.
