Everyone knows of the Historic Dockyard, now with its award-winning, newly opened Mary Rose museum, a newly extended Naval Museum … both having had Royal visits; the Spinnaker Tower, being seriously considered for being a spectacular wedding venue with its stunning vista, in the Gunwharf Outlet Centre, and then there is the now the completely everhauled, at huge expense, WW2 submarine at the submarine museum, HMS Alliance – a real experience fro anyone, young or old and these affiliated to Gosport's Explosion Museum showing to magnificence the development of the navy's fire power through the centuries.
And then how about a nice cup of tea? Go to the Tea Factory, "All About Tea" in Middle Street, PO5 4BP. 150 teas under one roof imported to supply wholesale teas all round the country and the world, including Christmas tea and Russian Caravan! It combines a shop and cafe serving tea and cakes. You may laugh but you taste it and see the difference. We've forgotten just what proper tea tastes like. It is a big surprise and a unique experience … just like the whole of Portsmouth.
