Reasons for trip

From Dublin Connolly station we travelled on the DART commuter railway to Greystones (approx 50 minutes) and arrived at the pleasant and busy village. With the help of google maps we found the connection to the coastal path in the north of the village.

High above, the path parallels the DART railway and is close to unbroken views of the bay of Dublin. It runs almost level and is paved for most of the way. In Spring the wild flowers are to be seen, the comorants on rocks,and the fishermen in lobster boats off shore .Across the bay are the hills of North Dublin ,looking towards Malahide. The walk is about 4 miles and takes approximately 1.15hr. at a pleasant rate for a 70 yr. old.
