The market is in 2 parts, one is the artisans the other is a more general market selling everything from food to decorations to gloves and sheepskin slippers. The atmosphere is friendly and the towns old world charm adds to the magic. The church overlooks the market and there are pony rides for the children. There are plenty of restaurants and stalls selling delicious savoury and sweet foods and drink. Behind the market is an array of individual and well known chain shops selling everything that you could need. When you walk into a shop you never know what language you will be greeted in, Italian or German. I have been coming here for 15 years and I still love my Christmas visits.
