Reasons for trip

Went to the Hilsea Lido, Portsmouth in August. Nice sunny day and hectic grandchildren to entertain. The Lido is located at Hilsea on London Road. Free parking and Free entry. Very safe environment for mums with young children. Upper age limit is 8 years. The ladies who man the entry gate are very thorough in giving information and are first aiders too. Two lovely large splash pools with lots of activity apparatus to keep very energetic boys very happy. Lots of safe grass areas for seating and picnics and soft play area around the pools. Toilets are there and a cafe booth with ice cream and snacks. There is a trampoline. There is also a play are near by with swings and climbing frames etc. There is also the Hilsea Creek there for feeding birds and walking area and relaxing or even large picnic. Suitable for mums and grandparents looking after young children. Brilliant day out for FREE. Well done Poersmouth Council. Very recommended visit indeed. However it does close at the end of August as the schools start soon. There is an outdoor full size pool there too for all to swing in.
