Reasons for trip

Whilst in Cadiz we visited the Taberna Flamenco La Cava to see an authentic Flamenco show. Wow! Such vibrant energy, it was absolutely fabulous. We visited as part of a tour and I was concerned that it might be tourist ‘tat’ if you know what I mean! it was superb. I’ve seen Flamenco before but never with this urgency and excitement.
It is possible to see this if travelling on ones own as well. If you google it, it’s easy to find. If you like dance and Spanish guitar, you will love this as I did.

Cadiz itself is a charming city and very easy to self navigate. You do not need to do a tour or have a guide. A beautiful square with cafes all around and spontaneous musicians / dancers performing as well. I’d happily return one day.
