Reasons for trip

After a long walk along Exmouth sea front with my friend, who is a vegetarian, we decided to look for a restaurant for lunch. The Book Rest is located up a flight of stairs through a bookstore in Exmouth.

The restaurant was obviously popular, especially with mums and children, because the restaurant had an area screened off with toys and sofas. A great idea I thought.

The menu looked really good. Loads of choice, and very reasonably priced. I chose a chilli and honey chicken sandwich with a salad. My friend had a hummus platter which for under £5.00 was an absolute bargain. All of the food is home made, and there’s lots for vegetarians and vegan diet, as well a catering for meat eaters like myself.

Comfortable sofas are located at the far end of the restaurant, which are great for enjoying a coffee, whilst crowd watching from above, or even read the newspaper, which are also included.

A great place for food and a rest!
