Reasons for trip

You certainly wouldn’t expect to find a cinema in a small cafe in a suburb of Torquay!

At the Blue Walnut however, you can have coffee, cake, light lunches, snacks and alcoholic drinks – and watch a film!

We booked to go there as part of a U3A group, where we watched a film in the 23 tiered seat cinema, with an excellent afternoon tea afterwards. There is a monthly film club there, but the cinema (the smallest in the UK?) can be hired for a private function, as we did and which we intend to do again in the future.

I can thoroughly recommend this intimate experience for small groups, particularly for a special occasion. I can also recommend the afternoon tea!
