Reasons for trip

A trip to the theatre yesterday also provided a nostalgic journey back to life in the good old 1960's. We time-travelled as we watched 'Sunny Afternoon' – the story of The Kinks trials and tribulations to achieve success in both the UK and the USA. A talented large cast (especially the 2 actor/singers/musicians playing Ray and Dave Davies) conjured up visions of London and the 'music business' all those years ago. The songs were all well performed and the familiar ones had the audience feet-tapping while singing along. Social history was accurately portrayed and I learned a few things that I didn't know at the time. A good show – especially if you like the music of The Kinks.
