Reasons for trip

Post lockdown mini break in a hotel we have stayed in before. Located within sight of the sea on a level walk to the beach and town, this is an excellent situation to enjoy Sidmouth and East Devon.

This homely hotel is like staying in a National Trust house, it’s a wealth of history. But has a pool and gym. Meals are home-made with local produce. Lunch menu is available too if you prefer a snack here during the day where you can sit on the terrace or in the beautiful drawing room.

We had a standard room which was clean and comfortable. With a new modern bathroom.

We saw a wheelchair user here, so have ticked that it’s suitable. There is a lift and room’s with outside space.

This hidden gem is well worth a visit. Lots to see locally too. So why is everyone going to Cornwall? They have it all here in Devon.
