The Hilton Hotel in Bath is quite an ugley building from the outside. A rectangular concrete building from the 1960/70's but inside is a very different story. An intimate bar to the left and a sweeping reception desk to the right greet you as you enter. The decor is elegant and comfortable.
Our room (which was a Plaza room) was extremely well decorated and comfortable, just one small gripe is that the tea tray only had UHT milk which I hate and don't understand why a hotel of this calibre would still use it.
There was no parking at the hotel but Waitrose was next door and an arrangement has been made with them. Tak care though. It costs £15 for your stay but if you move your car at any time then you pay another £15! The market car park the opposite side of the hotel is free from 8pm-9am which is a help but you do have to be up early to put money in the meter.
Wi-fi was another thing which surprised me. It was free in the lobby but if we wanted to use it in our rooms then it cost £15.
This really was a wonderful hotel and great base for Bath being right in the city centre. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We didn't have food at the hotel as breakfast was £18 and there were so many lovely places close by that did breakfast for £5 which was much more to our liking. Great restaurants around as well for evening meals.
