The Grand Hotel Central, as its name implies, is in a good central location with many cafes nearby. Nearly all of them serve English tea. The hotel itself is trendy and minimalist with lots of black shiny marble. There is a very nice pool and poolside setting.
The room was comfortable but no tea or coffee and could have done with more light. There was a shower over the bath in the bathroom.
The staff were helpful and flexible about check-out time with a baggage room to leave cases.
The only downside (apart from the lack of tea or coffee in the room) is that it was a bit too dark for anyone with eyesight problems.
