This gorgeous country house hotel / restaurant is north of Stirling near the pretty village of Dunblane in Central Scotland – famously the home of Andy and Jamie Murray – hence the title! Andy owns this hotel and it certainly lives up to his gold medal standards! I have not yet stayed there but I assure you it is lush and the food is outstanding, service second to none. I have had lunch and afternoon tea there and it was just a lovely experience, as although we were ‘walk in’ visitors we were treated like honoured guests. The ‘Bar menu’ is reasonably priced and everything was delicious, well presented and displaying a lot of the marvellous local produce. The surroundings are pretty special and it even has its own chapel where you can be married! I’d love to go and stay there as a special treat as I’m sure it would be equally wonderful.
