Reasons for trip

Health / Spa

I recently stayed at Champneys, Henlow Grange with three friends. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food was pleasant and quite healthy. The main point I would make about Henlow Grange is that it is not a good place for the disabled. My friend has to walk with a stick and from the main reception the only way down is by a spiral staircase – which makes it awkward even for able bodied people to lug their bags and cases up and down. There is quite a lot of walking involved to get from reception to the bedrooms which are on 2 main floors.

The treatments are nice but far too quick for the price charged. All in all this is a nice "one-off" health resort. I think it would be too expensive to repeat too often.
