We spent Halloween night at this beautiful Castle Estate. Our room was in the lodge. It was a large beautifully decorated room with a huge Victorian style bathroom. The staff were all very friendly. We had booked dinner in the restaurant. It was six courses and each course was perfection on a plate. The following morning we had a delicious breakfast, then went for a walk in the grounds. The landscape was breathtaking. There is a large lake for fishing, and horse riding in the grounds. We went into the castle and were free to wander around the ground floor. We think we met the lady of the house, reading her newspaper in the lounge! The Castle is within a short drive of the town of Monaghan. It’s a lovely little town for a walk around.

I would recommend a visit to this special place, especially for a birthday or anniversary.
