Recently stayed a few days with my husband at Best Western, Pleasanton, CA. Then he returned meaning I was there on my own for over a week. During the time I never felt 'vulnerable' through being alone because all the staff were so very friendly, respectful and helpful. The breakfasts were plentiful with enough variety to please anyone, warm or cold choices. The attendant Karen was a delight to meet every morning but one morning when she was not on duty, there was a little 'glitch' about breakfast products. I only mentioned this to the manager, as I wanted to commend the excellent service from Karen. He could not have been more listening and caring, which is a rare quality to find in a huge concern like this hotel. I will go there again when I can.
