Inspired by the Lion King, Serengeti, Our Planet, Dynasties and Blue Planet?
Thanks to the rising popularity of amazing natural history programmes on television and the big screen, wildlife safari and conservation travel is bigger, better and more popular than ever before!
And for all those wanting to get up close with big cats, go gorilla trekking or photograph polar bears, the Wildlife & Safari Travel Show is an absolute must visit. Plus, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet the change makers; the conservationists and travel companies who will impart invaluable knowledge, and inspire you to plan your next trip. So, you’ll get a complete lowdown straight from the zebra’s mouth.
As well as around 60 exhibitors, a whole host of speakers will be giving talks and presentations throughout the two-day event. Perhaps now best known as the ‘wild man’ off BBC1’s The One Show, Mike Dilger reveals what often goes on behind the scenes and spills the beans on everything you ever wanted to know about his weird and wonderful job, but were afraid to ask. While the world’s only Heavy Metal marine biologist, Tom “The Blowfish” Hird will open your eyes to what monsters really lurk beneath our waters. Other talks also feature expedition Leader Jim Mayer from Hurtigruten who has searched for the hidden people in Iceland, skied across Greenland with a man he met in a pub and written about Ernest Shackleton’s love of poetry. There are also informative and educational panel sessions with exhibitors offering insight and advice on planning your next wildlife travel adventure, how to take better photographs and how to about planning the wildlife expedition cruise of a lifetime.
