Reasons for trip

Personal / family celebration

We have stayed here before so were happy to book again for our family ‘Christmas present’ trip in December. It is a perfect location right in the middle of the city and even so close to Christmas, it was still only £39 for a double room on the Sunday night (as are most Wetherspoon hotels). It was a bit more for the Saturday night stay at £84, but this still only makes it £123 for 2-night stay in a very comfortable double room with extra-large bed.

Despite being above one of the busiest pubs in town, packed with party-goers until 1.00am (OK, we gave up and went to bed at 12.30!), there is no residual noise in the rooms. In fact, most noise was from the street cleaning vehicles outside at 7.30am.
Rooms are always clean, warm and comfortable, well-equipped including complimentary still and sparkling water, and all the hotels reflect the original character of the place – in this case, music and composers associated with the area.

Breakfast is not included, but as such a variety of foods are available downstairs in the pub, or out in the city centre, this isn’t an issue. Staff are really helpful, and we were very impressed by how clean and tidy Crown Passage was by the next morning. We will always choose this hotel when visiting Worcester now.
