Just returned from a fabulous cruise on the Queen Mary 2 from New York to Southampton. Eminently suitable for Silver Travellers as it is both formal and relaxed. They cater well for those with mobility issues. Staterooms are spacious and comfortable and the service is exemplary. You will need formal wear but hat is half the fun and there is plenty to keep you busy with TV, Cinema, classes , casino and as much excellent food as you could wish. If you are worried about rough seas, don’t be – we had 24 hours of a Force 10 and she continued to sail at over 20 knots and with very very little sway – just enough to rock you to sleep. I cannot wait to cruise again.
