It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Bristol. The German market is back and bigger than ever with a beer garden where you can drink a stein of lager and an artificial curling rink. The galleries shopping centre is decorated with lollipops and candy canes and Cabot circus has an enormous wooden father Christmas and a real Santa in his grotto on the second floor.
There will be lights round the harbour and there is a food court and Apres ski bar in Millenium Square. The Mall at Cribbs causeway has a large artificial ice rink and a small polar express train to take children for a ride.
This year the Christmas pantomime at the Hippodrome is Dick Wittington with Shane Richie.
You can even catch an open top bus and enjoy carols and a mince pie while you enjoy a tour of the lights.
