I came across Parcevall gardens whilst looking for places to visit whilst staying in Skipton, and thought it sounded interesting. Getting there is an interesting experience, typical dales country roads, sat nav a must(NR22 6EE).
Once you arrive , pay entrance at house on left, park up (free) small car park, Pause and have a cuppa after the drive. Then proceed across small bridge through woodland walk, enjoy the tranqulity and bird songs. Take in the views on the way, pause by the Tarn, then onwards and upwards till t you reach the South plowings and soak up the view of the house and gardens. wander through the terraces be amazed at the plants. plenty of seat to enjoy the views of Simon’s seat and down the dale, it is so peaceful, a must see if you are in the area.
A huge bonus is coaches are not allowed, we only saw a few people and dog walkers are allowed. So visit and enjoy.
